Spinnerette was formed at the initiative of singer Brody Dalle, who was also the founding father of the successful American punk rock band The Distillers. Since Dalle co-wrote, sang and played the guitar in The Distillers, in this way being of vital importance to the band, The Distillers stopped existing in favour of Dalle’s new punck rock band Spinnerette. Currently, Spinnerette consists of fellow ex-Distillers bandmate Tony Bevilacqua, former Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam en Eleven drummer Jack Irons and guitarist Alain Johannes, who worked with Queens of the Stone Age and Eleven. Apart from the listed tour dates for Spinnerette, the band will perform at a couple of high-profile music festivals.
