JLS consists of Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Jonathan ‘JB’ Gills and Oritsé Williams. The group was founded by Oritsé, who advertised for male vocalists in order to form a supergroup. Shortly afterwards, Marvin and Aston joined, but it was not until the audition for the X Factor television series of 2007 that JB was added to the group.
